It is the home of America’s Oldest Agricultural Fair, The Topsfield Fair and boasts of running rivers and rolling hills. Situated on the North Shore and in the center of Essex County lies the town of Topsfield, a small rural town with a strong sense of community.

The town is bordered by Ipswich, Hamilton, Wenham, Danvers, Middleton, and Boxford and is located about 10 miles southeast of Andover and 20 miles north of Boston. The town is a fairly compact thirteen square miles with rolling hills and winding streams. Topsfield remains primarily a residential community with a population of approximately 6,200 residents. The town retains a rural character with a typical New England Town Common.

The surrounding area has a lot to offer. Willowdale State Forest, Bradley Palmer State Park, the Ipswich River, Wildlife Sanctuary, Klock Park, Pye Brooke Park and Hoods Pond offer recreational activities. Clubs and Organizations include the Friends of the Topsfield Library, Garden Club of Topsfield, Topsfield/Boxford Community Club and the Topsfield Historical Society.
